Last week was quite busy, but the highlights were planting most of our leeks and onions, and putting a new covering on one of our high tunnels! This week we have even more planting ahead of us, with lettuce, cabbage, kale, kohlrabi, potatoes and strawberries scheduled to go into the ground.
This is the first week of the Mushroom CSA from Fat Moon! If you are part of the mushroom CSA, you should have received a welcome email directly from Fat Moon on Sunday, and you will be receiving one directly from us today with more details. Pick-ups will be self-serve on Tuesdays, 11am- 6pm for the first 5 weeks. Your mushrooms will be set out on the farm stand porch labeled with your last name. This week’s share includes Lion’s Mane and Oyster mushrooms!
In addition, we have flowers (including Orange Princess tulips and fancy daffodils!), radishes, and extra mushrooms available for pre-orders. Online ordering will open today, Monday April 25th at noon for pick up Tuesday, April 26th from 2pm-4pm and 4pm-6pm (ordering will close at 7am Tuesday). Pick-ups will again be on the porch of our farm stand at 449 Barretts Mill Rd. Concord, MA. If you are ordering and also have a mushroom CSA, we will combine your mushroom share with the rest of your order (please note that pre-order pick-ups aren’t available until 2pm)

Orange Princess tulips - Cheery orange double tulips (also called peony flowering), bunches of 8-10 stems, wrapped in brown paper. Certified organic.
Sunny Prince tulip bunches - Pale lemon yellow tulips, bunches of 10-12, wrapped in brown paper. Certified organic.
Aafke tulip bunches - Lilac rose with petal edges that gradually fade to pale pink, bunches of 10-12, wrapped in brown paper. Certified organic.
Fancy daffodils - 10 stems. Certified organic.
Radish bunches - Bunches of 6-7 round red radishes. Certified organic, grown in our high tunnel.
Fat Moon Mushrooms - Farmer’s Mix, 8 oz bags. Certified organic, grown in Chelmsford, MA. This is separate from the Mushroom CSA!
Parsley plants - Certified organic.
Online ordering tips and reminders:
Orders are open to everyone! You do not need to be a member to purchase.
You do not need to create an account to place an order.
Be sure to choose your pick-up time (there is a red drop-down menu in the upper right-hand of the screen). If you don’t choose a time, you won’t be able to see the items in the shop.
Once an item is sold out for the day, it disappears from the online shop.
Payments are made by credit card unless you are a Barrett’s Bucks member. Barrett’s Bucks members may select the “Bucks” payment option. (it says “free” in parentheses behind both payment options - this just means that it is free to use that payment option, not that the product is free!).
