Join us on the farm this Saturday, May 21st from 1pm to 3pm for our 2016 Open House! Bring a picnic and stay to enjoy an interactive dance performance by local artists Pete Cormier, Ellen Gorman and Amanda Mastroianni. The piece will be performed at 1:00, 1:30 and 2:00, and we will be offering farm tours at 1:15 and 2:15. We'll also have some fun kids' activities available, including a scavenger hunt and a tractor for exploration (with the supervision of a parent). The farm store will be open and we'll be around to chat, so stop by, say hello and enjoy the spring farm scenery!
More info about the performance from Pete Cormier: "Liminal Nature Art is an interactive performance piece inspired by nature that integrates dance, music and nature art. This choreographic piece comes from the idea that we breathe nature into ourselves and as it informs our intentions we are transformed. We will explore the liminal space that exists between art and nature by moving through and between beech tree limbs that were rescued from a brush pile destined for a fire pit, but now stand tall in quiet dignity."
